Let me introduce myself

Welcome to my first blog post! 

Hi there! I'm Janna, and I have been an artist for as long as I can remember. I love to draw/paint/make things with my hands, and it wasn't until recently where I started to make this aspect of my life more of a priority.

I don't know about any of you, but when I grew up, I was told that you should not pursue an art career because you will never make any money. Being a young teen, I listened to them. I got into the tech industry and the dreams of becoming an artist became an ancient memory.

Now, seven years later, I realized that something was missing from my life, and that is art. In 2018 I got the sudden urge to unpack my old art supplies and start creating, and I guess what? I never stopped.

I am so excited to share with you more of my artwork, behind the scenes, and inspiration. Since I started sharing my artwork on Instagram, so many artists have asked me, "why don't you start a blog or youtube channel?". One thing to know about me, I am dyslexic, and the thought of writing consistently was kind of daunting. But the more I think about it, art is something that makes me happy. If I can share more about what I do, maybe others will find happiness in art.

What will you be seeing more of in my posts?

Art will be the biggest focus of this blog, this is going to be a place where I share mine behind the scenes of my creative process and inspirations. Get ready because you will be seeing much more of the face behind the creations and a mixture of tips like my favorite art products and tips I've learned along the way trying to sell my art. As hinted above, writing has never been a strong suit of mine, I'm an artist at heart, not a writer. I'm sure this blog will have a lot of trial and error so please bear with me on any grammar/spelling mistakes. Please feel free to share your advice along the way!
